The iSchool Student Conference
The iSchool Student Conference planning committee is delighted to announce the 2018 annual student conference theme, Information in the Air: Society and the Evolving Media. Please join us for a two-day conversation about changes in the media landscape both old and new, and the effects such changes have on the societies around them.
Sessions will include reflective and innovative ideas presented by students completing a Master of Museum Studies and students completing a Master of Information at the University of Toronto Faculty of Information, as well as students engaged in doctoral work.
Types of presentations may include:
The iSchool student conference is an annual event that engages students, faculty, and professionals in conversations about the fields of information and museums. It provides students at the iSchool with a platform to share their research with an audience of peers, including students, faculty, and alumni, as well as local information and museum professionals.

Types of presentations may include:
- Posters
- Lightning talks (5 minute presentations, with time for discussion and questions at the end)
- Panel presentations: Three, 15-minute presentations followed by a discussion and question period
- Round-table discussions: 15 minute presentations followed by 15 minutes of questions and discussion (ideal for those wishing to present their work as a group)
- Workshops: Hour long presentations which engage participants in learning a new skill and offer opportunities for hands-on activities
