March 2 & 3, 2018
University of Toronto, Faculty of Information
The iSchool Student Conference planning committee is delighted to announce the 2018 annual student conference theme, Information in the Air: Society and the Evolving Media. Please join us for a two-day conversation about changes in the media landscape both old and new, and the effects such changes have on the societies around them.
This annual iSchool student conference brings students together to share their work with each other and showcase what new information and museum professionals will be bringing to the workforce. Information in the Air reflects on the changes within the information and museum professions and fields and the impact evolution in media have had on society. The 2018 conference will be held on March 2nd and 3rd. The format will include a half day event with a keynote speaker and reception on the Friday evening, followed by one day of paper presentations, workshops and posters by students. There will also be an opportunity for undergraduates in related disciplines to present their posters. In the past, the audience has consisted of students and faculty; this year’s conference aims to increase attendance by having more alumni involved and local professionals involved.
